The Snowdonia Mountains loom over North Wales and it's coastline. Holyhead is one of the main ports on the coast linking Britain with Ireland.

Llangollen is famous for it's international Musical Esteddford. The six day musical and dance festival attracts acts from around the world.

Betwseycoed is a tourist town and is at the eastern gateway to the Snowdonia National Park. This is a popular resort town for the Welsh since Victorian days.

Llanberis is a tourist village at the foot of Mt Snowdon and as you would expect it is extremely popular for hikers and mountaineers in the summer.

Don'ts:

Whilst Wales is relatively safe you still need to cautious especially for pickpocketers and bag snatchers although this usually only happens at night.

Climate

Due to the closeness of the mountains Wales can experience some pretty diverse weather. Winter in Wales is very cold and most places experience snow. Summer is warmer nearer the coastal towns but even at night a jumper can be necessary. Rainfall can be extreme so it is best to be prepared.
