The Glyndwr Parliament House has displays showing life in Wales during the Middle Ages and Glyndwr's fight for independence for his fellow Welshmen.
This area is also good for cycling.

At Llandrindod Wells you will find the Roman ruins of Castell Collen.

Llanfihangel Crucorney is a tiny village located 5kms from Abergavenny and between Hereford. This village attracts tourists to its famous pub the "Skirrid Mountain Inn" which is claimed to be the oldest pub in Wales.

Blaenavon is Southwest of Abergavenny is home to the Big Pit Mining Museum. Production at this mined stopped in 1980. You can take tours and descend down to the pit, safety is treated very seriously and you will be issued with the appropriate clothing.

Brecon Cathedral was built in the 11th century above the river Honddu to the north of Brecon.
